Adcock's Nursery Inc

I'm disappointed. I had high hopes for this lot. Beautiful plants, nice selection, some less than common offerings, heck, they might be the only business out there that I didn't mind their marketing emails and that says something. But!! My overall experience having purchased from them a few times is not so good. I actually liked the staff well enough. People say they're rude, I think its more just busy. I probably wouldn't recommend to the general public unless you know what you want and you are ready to get it. But here's where the problems begin to arise. The system of ordering plants and having them picked doesn't sit well with me. I want to see what I am buying, I dont want anything done to it once its selected. I say this because a lovely tree I purchased and was very excited for was already picked and ready to load but, upon arrival I see its been pruned up real tight, and has nearly all its growth on one side. Ugly but i know It will grow back again. Now the season has come around and im looking again and Im a bit perturbed with the pruning job they forced right before I could have said no thank you please, ill do it myself. Now its got a couple seasons I think to sort itself out again with a handful of large crossing branches on one side and next to nothing on the other. Oh and a good size batch of "hardy" plants that were on sale are all having issues with pest and disease. I dont usually like to return or seek reimbursement for plants but it was a bit curious the nature of these ones deterioration. But of course they wont hear it and they surely dont sell diseased plants and every sales order/invoice clearly states no refunds/returns or condolences of any kind. I wanted to like the place and do business with them regularly but im afraid ive been steered away for the moment and I'm sure theyre not too bothered by that, really.

Adcock's Nursery is a wonderful local nursery! Their staff has decades upon decades of expert knowledge and growing experience. They grow a wonderful selection and have some of the larger locally grown material in the area. Adcock's is my go to nursery for plants in Wake County!

Sydney, Reid and David yet again did a fantastic job!! Above and beyond! I ordered 6 gigantic trees and Sydney hand selected them and were ready the next morning for pick up! What a team! Thanks guys!
