Guilford Garden Center (Lawndale Dr Location)

I'm down in the Greensboro area several times a year visiting and one of my frequent stops is the Guilford Garden Center. I love the selection of plants, the knowledge of the staff, the different planters, spinners, bird seed choices and plant food selections. My car is usually transporting numerous flowers and plants back to my home. If you haven't visited this location, do so you won't be disappointed.

I was disappointed with my experience. The plant selection is decent, but many of the prices seemed significantly higher than other local nurseries offering similar or healthier plants. There are several garden centers in the area where you can find better value, more knowledgeable staff, and a much more welcoming atmosphere. What stood out most was the customer service. During my visit, employees often appeared more engaged in conversations with one another than with customers. I didn’t feel particularly welcomed, and there seemed to be little effort made to connect with shoppers unless you’re a usual regular. One of the things that keeps customers coming back to a local nursery is friendly, attentive service and a staff that is genuinely engaged. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here. Based on pricing and customer service alone, I would choose other local nurseries in the area and do not plan on returning.

This is my happy place. Beautiful plants and accessories. Wonderful happy, knowledgeable and encouraging staff are found there daily. The classes are enjoyable and the gatherings are so much fun!

Nice selection that you won't find at Lowe's or Home Depot but prices are comparable. It is less expensive than ABSeed at the farmers market and the plants are much healthier.
