I went here for the first time on Thursday. I live in Burlington and it was a quick drive. I am so glad I went. I am Canadian born and raised, this shop reminded me of garden shops back home. Quaint and so many lovely plants and fun decor. The staff was also very nice and helpful. I will be back.
I wish I had known about this gemstone before I did my spring planning and planting! They have a gorgeous and healthy selection of plants and flowers, beautiful trees, and a good option for native species planting! Reasonable prices, and they’re in the shade (phew!) so summer shopping is comfortable and enjoyable. Staff are helpful and kind. All around a wonderful local blooming center!

Every time I go to Mebane for a meeting or lunch, I try to stop by Down Home Garden Center. The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly. I have never had a bad experience there. They fit a huge variety of plants in a pretty small space, including trees and shrubs. Highly recommend stopping by if you are visiting Mebane.
Their supply was beautiful to view and there was someone who assisted us in selecting what we needed.
