Looked up Berry picking hours a couple weeks ago. Me and kids went one Sunday morning and were told we had to wait for the festival. Then the festival consisted of a bouncy area to hot for kids to jump on, a basketball hoop too high for my 7 year old to even get close to making a basket and only 1 berry available to pick. For the 4 of us and 2 baskets I paid $87 for entrance and blackberries and the only thing that was kinda festival like was some music playing.So don’t waste your time on the scam “festival”

We spent $54 to pick strawberries. The website says $2 per person, it’s actually $10 each, and another $10 for a berry basket. No strawberries, no fun. Terrible experience.

I’ve been coming out here for a few years now for the U-Pick berries, and everything was always just amazing. Now that Powell gardens has taken over, I’m extremely disappointed. I approached a staff member at the check out, asking about cutting flowers. We’d never done it before so I was curious. She told she didn’t know anything at all and to look online. There was no signage, and she didn’t seem to care to help. When we went out to pick berries we were told the blueberries had been over-picked before they were ripe. In past years, the farms didn’t allow people to pick before they were ready. I hope to see this farm return to its well managed state.

We were planning to do berry picking 9 am end of June. When we got there we were told there's a "Kid Fest" and could only enter after 11. $10 to enter and $5-$20 to pick fruits. The event included alpacas, sheep's, and a ride on military vehicle and other activities that you'd have to pay addition for... In 90 degrees heat. I was surprised there wasn't any kids that passed out. The event was not advertised well, and I'm not sure why we had to pay extra just to pick berries. They also advertised blackberries, black raspberries and red raspberries at the entrance were available to pick. Blackberries were the only ones that was available. My husband and I got ripped off over $30 for a quart of black berries then got sun poisoning. Might I add we would've just been fine doing the berry picking at 9am but they wouldn't let us. Definitely not thought out event especially for kids.
