400 centipede grass plug’s planted and all are growing good in this heat. The auger worked great in the clay soil. Looking forward to a full green lawn.

Arrived via UPS well packaged and protected. Put 100 plugs in and they look good. Will buy again when needed.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I am a little woman in my 70's. I'm tough, but I wasn't sure that I could install 9 flats of bermuda plugs. The flats and the plug tool came and I couldn't get to the project right away. However, with daily watering, the plugs not only survived, they thrived and grew. Well, finally I was able to create the holes and install the plugs in about 4 hours. My soil was not too wet, not too dry. Perfect. I just used my body weight and twisted to make the holes. The great thing about NC Plugs is that the plugs fit the holes exactly! No filling them in with added dirt or trying to fit square plugs in round holes. Its oddly addictive - So easy and satisfying. I watered them in with kelp fertilizer. The only issue I have is that my existing bermuda lawn is not as green and healthy as the plugs. I will work on that. I can't recommend this company enough. They are do easy to call and talk to, as well.

2025– ordering another 5 flats! I wish I could add a picture but google won’t allow that. This is the BEST spreading drought tolerant bright grass EVER! We live in Odessa FL on 6 acres. I have been buying flats of El toro for the last two years trying it out in different areas that do not have irrigation. The grass —in full sun— spreads and has filled in an entire area in just one season. This year after 3 months of zero rain I feared it wouldn’t survive. It stayed somewhat green but looked dry. Once the first rain fell it perked up and continued spreading. Now the entire area is bright green and thick! And only gets rain no sprinklers needed! I also planted a couple of flats in no sun areas, totally full shade and although they are still there and alive, they are not thick or spreading to fill the area like turf. Anyway the grass in full or partial(4hrs) sun has choaked out all the weeds in the areas planted last year and the year before!! I just ordered 5 more to plant this year. Lori 2023–I have ordered two Say shipments so far this year of the El Toro grass plugs and they are fantastic! They arrived green and very healthy. I have ordered other zoysia grass plugs from other companies and the zoysia grass arrive, dry and brown and you had to cut it with scissors not with this company. The plugs separate easily because they each have their own circular compartment. I planted my first order three weeks ago, and they are flourishing and so green and healthy.

Bought 12 trays and the Pro Pl ugger in August, and they are doing great. Used a little 10 10 10 when I planted them, and would like to know what fertilize to use now, in early October. Really enjoy checking them everyday, as they continue to spread! Thank you NCGrassPlugs!
