About the Nursery

Specialty Fruit Plant Nursery. Top products: Berry plants, Fruiting shrubs, Grapes, Figs, Fruit trees. Rabbit Ridge Berry Farm is a specialized horticultural nursery located in Coats, North Carolina, with a primary focus on the cultivation and supply of fruiting plants. Established in 2002 and evolving into a fruit-focused specialist by 2018, the nursery produces a diverse range of cultivars specifically selected to thrive in the North Carolina climate. Their core inventory includes blueberries, thornless blackberries, raspberries, grapes, figs, kiwi, elderberries, and citrus varieties like lemons and limes. The business operates as both a retail nursery and a demonstration site, offering 'Pick Your Own' berry experiences to educate customers on plant care and growth. While they cater to local homeowners and supply fresh produce to regional culinary partners, they also maintain a seasonal shipping operation, providing bareroot berry plants to customers across the United States from November through February. Their mission emphasizes the selection of productive, climate-adapted fruit cultivars for home cultivation.

Staff are wonderful, kind, and friendly. They have chickens (fun to watch) and guineafowl (similar to chickens, also fun to watch) and an abundance of options for fruit trees, decorative options, berry bushes, and nut trees! If you're nearby and you want to set down some plants, give them a try! Also, they take inputs in the spring if you have "special orders" that you would like them to source.
