About the Nursery

Retail and Wholesale Plant Nursery. Top products: Proven Winners Perennials, Deciduous Shrubs, Hydrangeas, Garden Tools, Potting Mix. Creekside Nursery, Inc., located on 8.5 acres in Dallas, North Carolina, is a grower-direct nursery owned and operated by Jerry and Jenny Simpson. As a recognized Proven Winners Destination Nursery, the business specializes in providing a wide selection of ornamental perennials, annuals, and shrubs, including their proprietary 'Creekside Champions' line. The nursery distinguishes itself by growing the majority of the plants it sells on-site, ensuring high-quality control and horticultural expertise. Their operations focus on both retail sales to home gardeners and an e-commerce platform that ships plants based on regional growing zones. Beyond plant sales, the nursery supplies professional-grade gardening equipment, such as augers, specialized hand tools, and fertilizers. Driven by an educational mission, the owners manage an active media presence through their YouTube channel, 'Gardening with Creekside,' aimed at demystifying horticulture and assisting customers in garden design and maintenance.

I order plants online all of the time, and I've ordered several plants from Creekside for the past 2 years. Their plants are always healthy, and their annuals are consistently the healthiest, largest annuals I've ever received online. Jenny and Jerry are doing a great job keeping the quality high in the midst of their nursery's rapid growth and expansion. You can order plants from them with confidence that they will arrive happy and healthy!

I have to let everyone know how pleased I am at the plants I receive from Creekside Nursery when I order them on line. I am kept up-to-date on when to expect my plants and this is determined by the weather in my area. They are packaged perfectly to make sure they arrive in perfect condition. Attached is a very well explained instruction card so I know what I need to do the minute I open the box (es). I was very hesitant to order plants online, but never again since I only order from Creekside. Other nurseries may be fine, but I KNOW from Creekside they will arrive in super condition to beautify my landscape. Thanks for caring about my plants!!! 👍👏😁🌼🌸🌺⭐️💗🙏

I ordered 6 Russian Sage plants from Creekside Nursery, hoping for healthy, vigorous specimens suitable for my high-elevation Zone 4a garden in rural Idaho. The plants arrived after 3 PM on Friday, July 3rd. I opened the box immediately and was disappointed to find one plant clearly damaged (broken stems and crushed foliage) and the remaining five in only fair to poor condition—wilted, stressed, and showing signs of rough handling during shipping. Because I had family company arriving for the 4th of July holiday weekend, I was unable to take and send detailed photos within their strict 24-hour claim window. I emailed them today (Monday, July 6th) with a full explanation of the circumstances, photos of the damaged plant, and a polite request to replace just the one severely damaged plant. Unfortunately, they refused to make any exception to their policy. While I understand businesses need policies to protect against abuse, a rigid 24-hour window with no flexibility for a legitimate holiday-weekend delivery—especially when the damage was noticed immediately upon opening—feels overly punitive. The quality of the plants themselves was also subpar compared to what I expected for the price. I’ve had better experiences with other mail-order nurseries that show more customer-friendly flexibility during busy holiday periods. I won’t be ordering from Creekside Nursery again. Rating: 2/5 stars (one star for the attempt to fulfill the order, one for eventual response)

I emailed immediately upon receipt of my order in compliance with your 24 hour policy and have not heard back about this shipment of plants as your policies state. I did however (in response to your reply) hear back about the "all sales final" policy when my purchase was charged for shipping after applying the "discount". I've purchased many plants from online sellers and this customer service (and the replies to customers here and on Yelp especially) is terrible, accusatory and mean. Many reviews state that they have not recd replies, etc. The plants are sticks as you can see from the pictures I attached and the worst I've received from any online retailer.

Every plant I have received from Creekside has arrived safe and healthy. Their packing system is superior to other companies I have ordered from. They are my go to nursery to order from!
