A Must-Visit Gem ​If you are looking for top-quality orchids and a gracious, friendly staff, Waldor Orchids in Linwood is a must-see. This multi-generational nursery offers hospitality that is truly top-notch. ​During our visit yesterday, Robin was incredibly patient, answering all my questions and even venturing to a back greenhouse to find the perfect plant for my elderly mother. Meanwhile, her uncle chatted with my husband like an old friend while repotting plants for a customer who had traveled all the way from Connecticut. That kind of loyalty speaks volumes about their expertise. For courteous service and beautiful plants, this establishment is in a league of its own.

This nursery is legendary, both for the quality of their plants as well as their hospitality. They exceeded my expectations on both counts! The quality is spectacular and the people are great. No wonder they've been around for decades.

I did my first purchase of plants with Waldor. Although I had entered all the correct billing and shipping addresses, the third party processor sent it to a prior address of mine. Waldor went the extra mile and straightened out everything without a hitch. The plants are in excellent condition and have exceeded my expectations. I have been growing orchids for more than 55 years and I can say unequivocally say that Waldor's Service and quality are the best. And very nice people in addition to the good service.

I had the good fortune to buy a red-flowered mini cattleya orchid in the fall of 2025 from Waldor Orchids when they visited central Maryland at the annual NCOS orchid show. They had an excellent selection of plants, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and it was nice to get a newly released orchid from them. They are also longtime supporters of the Philly Flower show, which I went to for years, so I appreciate, that, too.

Such a wonderful place to shop for the most beautiful orchids. The entire family who runs Waldor Orchids are just SO kind! They always help you try to find exactly what you're looking for and they have saved many of my orchids for me whether through repotting or their "orchid hospital" as I like to call it. Totally worth the drive every time!
