Eastland Farms is a beautiful and sprawling place, where you can find everything you need for your garden and property. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would not go anywhere else

I am not sure if it is possible for some staff to be more rude at this beautiful garden center. One person in particular - always unpleasant. I inquired the price of two plants I was interested in purchasing as none of them were marked. The reply in a dour tone was "I have no idea" ... and that was it - no offer or attempt to find out. It was not at all crowded - it was a rainy day and I was one of just a handful of customers. This was not the first time this has happened so I left and went to Fowler's in Southampton. Fowler's has a plentiful selection and all of the staff could not be more helpful or friendly. I have lived here 30 years and always support local but will not support being treated poorly as a customer.

I went in looking for advice to refresh my garden and asked if anyone could help show me some low light, deer resistant plants. I was met twice with a flat out “NO” we’re too busy, I did note there were another 2 customers walking around and about 10 staff. Even the older bearded man sitting playing on his iPhone was too busy to help or the guys stacking the bag of soil. I felt a bit like Julia Roberts in the pretty woman movie when she was shopping on Rodeo Drive. I drove 5 minutes to Marders where they bent over backwards to help me. I was happy to give them the $2000 I had in my pocket - Worth every cent for their advice and help. Sorry Eastland, you’ll never see a cent out of my pocket in the future. I can’t remember the last time I was treated with such a don’t give a hoot, dismissive attitude.
