If you are a collector of Japanese Maples and want to treat yourself, order from Maplestone. Every tree I’ve ordered has been impressive from an artistic and from a health standpoint. Order, you won’t be sorry. Just a fantastic business it’s been a pleasure to purchase from.

If you are looking for top-tier Japanese Maples, Maplestone Ornamentals is hands-down the best in the business. It’s really not even close. Micah runs a fantastic, small, family-owned business that clearly prioritizes quality over quantity. The secret is definitely out, so you have to be quick to nab the more in-demand trees during releases—but it is worth every bit of the effort. When you buy a 1-gallon tree from Micah, the size, health, and root system you receive easily rival a 3-gallon tree from almost any other company. You are truly getting incredible value and a beautiful, healthy cultivar every single time. I couldn't recommend them more highly!

Micah aka the "Maple Wizard" has been very helpful with tool selection, care for my maples, and quick responses via email. The maples I have recieved are the gold standard. Size is bigger then most, color is amazing, good root developement that I see when repotting into my mix. You get what you pay for at maplestone for sure. Thank you for the amazing trees Micah!

Not worth what it takes to get one unless you can visit them directly. They don't take criticism well and refuse accountability after misleading customers. After trying for 3 years to get the same tree I give up. Simply having trees in your inventory does not mean that it makes it easy to get the trees you want. You allow bots to ravage your site and rather than block their accounts this company has simply figured out a way to make money off the bots. Not blocking the accounts but allowing them to keep purchasing so the customers can't actually get what they came for because they can't check out as fast as I bot. This owner knows they run on their site and again rather than block the bots activity they just fine them and let them keep shopping. I'd originally given a better review, but when the owner decided to push back I figured I'd be completely open and honest about what exactly it is they do makes it difficult to acquire their trees They want to pretend like they don't know this is going on but clearly they do because they said that they will fine the person running the bot and cancel the order. But do they block the account so it doesn't happen again? No. That in itself speaks volumes. Furthermore, God forbid you ever need a refund. They advertise that there's a 15% restocking fee that's only if you keep them honest. I purchased a $10 item. They charged me $20 shipping and when I asked for a refund I got $14 back which means they charge me a restocking fee on postage and 100% on the item. I had to reach out to them and explain to them that they kept 100% of the product price, not the 15% that they advertised. These are just a few of the many things I've experienced while shopping over the years. They're welcome to pretend that these things don't happen but clearly they have. And are all valid arguments whether they want to acknowledge them or not. I used to fully endorse this company so it's disappointing that I have had to change my perspective based on the way I've been treated and the misinformation I've received and when I brought this to their attention they didn't seem to care.
