My favorite garden center. They have almost every plant I want every time I go. And the plants I get from them always thrive. Very reasonable prices for the quality, too.

From the moment I walked into Uncle John’s Pant Farm Home&Garden, I was warmly greeted by Marina, who worked in the perennial area and was very kind. She directed me to Zac in the shrubs and trees section, where he took his time answering all my questions and concerns and continued to be helpful throughout my visit. In the hanging basket area, Melissa greeted us with a friendly smile and went above and beyond by bringing out additional baskets when I asked if there were more to choose from. I also called the next day and spoke with Marcia, who was very professional and confirmed delivery to my location without any issues. Overall, every employee I interacted with was knowledgeable, friendly, and went the extra mile. As a first-time customer, I can confidently say this is a hidden gem of a nursery, and I’m very happy I found them.

My son has been buying fuchsias from Uncle John's Plant Farm for Mother's Day for almost 20 years. He buys two every year. They usually have a wide variety of beautiful full hanging baskets. This year he only found one that was decent and even that was not impressive. So I went back to get a second fuchsia. First thing that I saw was that they were all bone dry, ridiculously sparse, and in relatively small pots. There were about three different color combinations, priced at $24.99. When I mentioned something to a greenhouse employee she told me that they had a different supplier this year. Every evening when I go out to water them I cringe because they look so bad. I will try to do my usual magic to get them to fill out, but next year I will ask my son to go to Maria's Gardens.

I have been going to Uncle John’s to get my annual herbs and other outdoor plants/flowers for years. Although a little pricey, I have found their products to be great. Last month I went in and I brought two gift cards; one for $25 and one for $100. When I went to pay for my items the friendly cashier said they had a newer computer system and wasn’t sure how to enter the gift card as they were older. She checked with another employee who asked if she tried to enter it a certain way (like putting zeros with the gift card number or something) and she said she did with no luck. So the second employee said she would go ask the owner who was upstairs. I continued chatting with friendly cashier while we waited. The second employee came back and said the owner said they will not accept the gift cards. Why should I not be able to use my gifts cards (that had no expiration date) that have been PAID FOR because Uncle John’s has a new computer system and can’t process them?? How about put a procedure in place to honor older gift cards should this situation arise? …instead of just essentially saying “Sorry we took your money but you get nothing in return.” SO unprofessional. The right thing would have been to honor them. $125 is nothing to them and says a lot about their ethics and how they treat customers. Uncle John’s has lost my loyalty and I’m sure they could care less. I just want others to be aware.
