Looking for new orchids ,lady slipper... found this place, not too far from my house. Not only bought the lady slipper but 3 more beautiful and unique one. The place is a feast for hungry eyes like mine. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you Edgar.
I was looking to start my orchid journey, but I was deciding where to buy my first orchid. I decided to buy them from Windswept in Time Orchids. It turns out that this was really close to where I lived. IT WAS A PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! It was truly a pleasure and honor to meet Edgar. He is truly a man of his craft! A true artisan for Orchids. He gave me a tour and was able to share an hour out of his day to help me learn about the care involved for the two orchids I bought from him. I think this is the best option for me. I rather support Edgar than a big box store. I don't think I would have learned anything had I gone to a big box store where the workers are just people in retail selling stuff off the shelves. I really had to keep myself away from buying more than two. I wanted way more but I can always come back. I think I need more time to see how well I can care for them till my next purchase! I got a pink robin and its looking so so good. I am going to the recommended orchid meet ups where he teaches about orchid care! Can't wait to meet Kim one day!
Went by at a time they were doing some maintenance. New to the area wanted to see this place. Asked if I had an appointment. Said they were busy but would accommodate me. Answering questions as they were doing their work. I was amazed at the variety and attention they put into their orchids. I would definitely recommend and be back for more. I see a terrarium set up with a bunch of babies in my future after visiting them
If you have an Orchid lover in your life, Edgar is your man. The knowledge I just gained from 20 minutes inside the greenhouse is priceless. Also the quantity of different types of Orchids at all different stages of life is truly impressive!
I reached out to Edgar about an appointment and he was quick to respond and welcome us into his garden and greenhouse though he was packing for an upcoming show. His knowledge of orchids is impressive and the variety of his collection matches his acumen. We left with several orchids and lots of great tips and ideas - we will certainly be returning. If you’re a fan of orchids - this is a hidden gem in Ohio.
