About the Nursery

Family Owned Retail Nursery. Top products: Annuals, Perennials, Vegetable starts, Ornamental plants. Riddle Plant Farm is a long-standing, family-owned horticultural business with a legacy spanning 90 years, originally established in 1936. The nursery operates two primary retail locations in Sand Springs and Broken Arrow. The company maintains a strong commitment to local cultivation, noting that a significant portion of their inventory is 'Riddle Grown.' Historically, the farm began by focusing on produce crops such as tomatoes and potatoes, but has evolved into a comprehensive garden center that serves local homeowners and gardeners. Their operational philosophy emphasizes the dedication and hard work established by founder Cord Lee Riddle, balancing traditional growing techniques with modern retail services. Today, they offer a diverse selection of seasonal plants and gardening supplies, catering to the cyclical needs of Oklahoma growers throughout the spring and beyond.

I know many love this plant farm. I personally don't fancy paying higher prices for plants that don't thrive. When I had spent over $100, a plant that didn't do well within the 1st 2 days of planting, it was disheartening. When I called and was interrogated about it, it was offensive. Yes I got upset. I apologized for being grumpy but the way they, Riddle staff treated me as a customer who was asking about farms policy for plants that when planted don't thrive well when the other plants from them are thriving, well, I'll take my chances at Lowes or somewhere else. They at least won't treat me poorly as a customer nor have the nerve to ask me if I watered a plant. Yes, Riddle said, did you water the plant. The entire negative experience with Riddle definitely encouraged me to plant shop elsewhere.
