Hershey Cattle Company & Super Top Soil is a horticultural supplier and nursery operation based in Redmond, Oregon. The business specializes in the retail and delivery of high-quality agricultural soil, bark, and a selection of ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees. Their primary value proposition centers on the quality of their proprietary top soil, which they claim eliminates the need for commercial fertilizers for garden and landscape health. The company maintains a brick-and-mortar facility where customers can inspect their plant stock and soil quality firsthand. Serving both local homeowners and professional landscapers, the business operates as a combined soil supply yard and plant nursery. They offer delivery services for their bulk materials and plants, though they maintain a cash or check-only payment policy. Their operations focus on supporting regional landscaping and gardening projects by providing the fundamental growing medium alongside a variety of landscape-ready vegetation.

I was very disappointed in the fill dirt I ordered--loaded with turf patches, even pipe and sprinkler heads! Most disappointing is that I do not think their truck holds 20 yds and I ordered several of these, even my gardener felt the quantity was not accurate.

Their 40%compost blend. Specifically asked for soil for our raised beds, it’s sand and gravel. But of course I blindly trusted because I remember when it was a feed lot and unloaded 2.5 yards into my beds. Called and asked about it and the guy (English speaker) was incredibly rude and defensive. If you are confident in your product you own mistakes you don’t jump down the customers throat. Told us we must have gotten the wrong stuff, (sir I didn’t load it), offered a free yard but why would I want more sand? I’ve got plenty and I’m unloading one shovelful at a time. I want my time and money back. Including the bags and bags of soil conditioner I amended it with. You’re better off just buying bags. You’ll save $$ in the long run and it’s easier to haul. Photo is the jar test - sand completely settled out in a minute and there is nothing left. This stuff is like 98% sand.

Wish I read the reviews before wasting my time. It's not about the $17. But the work I did to shovel out a pick up bed, for clay, I regret. Straight clay. Absolutely no drainage at all. It's a fine powder and just enough compost to make it smell like you're getting something. It instantly turned my beds into pools of water. And did not drain for over 4 hours. I specially asked if this was soil for garden beds. - "Si senor! This is the good stuff!" B.S.

Bought a pickup truck load last spring for raised beds. So full of rocks I had to build a sifter to clear out the rocks....one shovel at a time. Then is was like cement, so we added a bunch of peat. Don't waste your time and money on this product.

They advertise their soil as premium garden soils. In reality it is very dense impossible to water and needs to be amended with 50% softening Compost for water retention. There is a reason they are cheaper then real garden soil. In addition their driver urinated in my back yard when delivering. Not recommend you are better off somewhere else. Guy.
