Rose Shack

Passed by this place a bunch of times and one day, end of season in 2025, my sister in law and I decided to go check it out! Such a great surprise! Beautiful plants of so many types. Perennials, annuals, and great native species as well! The women who work and run the garden center really know their stuff! Great information on planting, including best time of season for planting, fertilizer needs, watering, sun exposure, deer and rabbit resistant ideas and so much sharing of ideas and knowledge! The plants (bushes, shrubs, annuals, perennials, herbs, etc) are all really healthy, the prices are typical of our area, and there's an abundance of choices depending on your sun or shade needs. Also wonderful selection of items like fertilizer, gardening supplies, clippers, mulch, soil and SOOO much more! Go check out the Rose Shack on Tower Hill Road (Rt 1) in Saunderstown, you'll be glad you did❣️

If you’re a gardening enthusiast in Rhode Island, Rose Shack is a must-visit garden center. They are conveniently located at 2363 Tower Hill Road, Saunderstown. They have become my go-to garden center every spring….and for good reason. Rose Shack has a diverse selection of annuals and perennials to lush shrubs, herbs, seeds. vegetables, and so much more. The plants are robust, healthy, and of the highest quality. They also have a large selection of rose bushes that’s particularly impressive. The selection is eclectic and unique, making it tough to just choose one rose bush. Each greenhouse on site is stocked with all sorts of plants along with fragrant hanging plants that can brighten up any garden or patio. Beyond the plants, Rose Shack’s selection of seeds and gardening supplies makes it easy for both beginners and experienced gardeners to find everything they need in one place. What truly sets Rose Shack apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to offer personalized advice—whether you’re working with raised beds, containers, or a full backyard garden. When I visited on June 5, 2025, I had a long gardening checklist, and I was able to check off every item such as: hostas, morning glories, peonies, morning glories, petunias, a few hanging plants, planting soil, and gardening gloves. Last fall ( 2024) I purchased a variety of fringed tulip bulbs and when they bloomed this spring their colors were amazing and they lasted well over a week. Rose Shack is easy to navigate and there is always someone there to lend a hand. Their selection is impressively curated. Whether you’re a novice, planting your first garden or a seasoned green thumb, Rose Shack is worth the visit. They are more than just a garden center—they’re a welcoming part of Rhode Island’s gardening community. Hours: Open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.
