Despite what the farm’s website says, there is NOT an option to cut your own tree. We drove 45 minutes specifically for that experience and were disappointed to find out upon arrival that the option to cut your own tree hasn’t been a thing for “several years” according to the staff member that greeted us at the entrance. (Yes, in hindsight I realize I should have called ahead of time.) There’s a small country store with baked and canned goods for sale, as well as a hayride around the property, but as far as Christmas trees go, the selection is limited to pre-cut firs that run $110 (6’ trees,) $145 (7’) and $220 (8-9’ trees.) The staff were all very friendly, and the cider samples were fantastic (we brought home a bottle of Scuppernong cider and some hot pepper jelly,) but ultimately the outdated and misinformation found online, as well as the crazy high prices for pre-cut trees, are the reason for 2 stars.

Friendly staff + reasonable prices on Blackberry cider, sweet potato butter, muskadine jelly and other interesting goodies for gifts. 🌲Christmas trees are for sale Thanksgiving day in the afternoon following 🌲In autumn, there are hayrides: $9 per person Monday through Friday by reservation only. (this includes visiting amaze back cave and a small pie pumpkin. Retail hours are 1 PM to 5 PM
