We love this place! We've bought 18 large trees from them and they have all survived. We've bought various other plants as well. They are the best nursery in the hills. Great prices and they are very helpful. We have purchased spruce and Aspen trees from Black Hills nursery and have been very impressed with the quality of the trees. We purchased larger trees because we felt they have a lot better odds of making it and we wanted to be intentional with the placement to create privacy and a natural barrier quicker. They are very helpful about how to raise your trees and care for them and they answer any questions you may have.

About the Nursery
Regional Hardy Plant Nursery. Top products: Evergreen, deciduous, and fruit trees, Perennials and annuals, Vegetable and herb starters, Ornamental grasses, Shrubs and ground covers. Black Hills Nursery is a family-owned and operated horticultural business located in Rapid City, South Dakota, specializing in plants specifically adapted to the challenging climate of the Black Hills region and Eastern Wyoming. With a focus on hardiness and temperature resilience, they provide a wide array of nursery stock, including drought-tolerant trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and ornamental grasses. A significant differentiator for the nursery is that approximately 90 percent of their bedding plants are grown on-site, ensuring high-quality, well-cared-for starters for both residential and commercial clients. The nursery also serves as a comprehensive resource for vegetable gardening, offering herb and produce starters, as well as essential gardening supplies. Beyond retail, they provide professional horticultural advice, landscape placement assistance, and custom container planting services to help customers navigate the region's short growing season. Their mission centers on providing robust, healthy plant material and expert guidance to help local property owners cultivate successful landscapes and gardens.
