Treeland Nursery

I purchased five Eagleston Holly trees and two Japanese Yews from Treeland Nursery in Gunter, Texas, including delivery and planting services. Treeland offers a plentiful selection of trees and plants, and the office staff was helpful throughout the process. Delivery arrived on time, the pricing was very competitive, and all of the trees we received were healthy and in excellent condition. Treeland operates as a lean, bare-bones business model. Customers drive a golf cart through the farm, select and tag their own trees, and place their order form in a drop box. The farm then emails a quote, and the payment process is straightforward and easy. Scheduling for delivery and installation was organized and efficient. The installation crew worked quickly and efficiently, although the pace of the work felt somewhat rushed. This left my husband and me wondering whether caution and attention to detail were receiving the same level of priority as speed. Unfortunately, our professionally marked and flagged sprinkler system were damaged during installation. Given the hurried nature of the installation process, this outcome was disappointing but not surprising. As of this writing, a week has passed and I am still waiting for a resolution from Treeland regarding the damage. Overall, my impression is that Treeland is a family-run business that focuses on providing healthy, quality trees and plants. Their operation appears to be geared primarily toward professional landscapers, although homeowners are certainly welcomed. I would recommend Treeland for their selection, pricing, healthy inventory, and efficient processes. However, I do so with some hesitation due to the bare-bones operating model and the unresolved property damage resulting from the installation. UPDATE AS OF 7/6/2026 After I posted my review, Treeland Nursery offered me a $100 check for the incorrect placement of one of the Eagleston Holly trees, which I had already paid my landscaping crew to relocate. This was an issue I had not mentioned in my original review. Regarding the damaged sprinkler system, Derek from Treeland explained that the sprinkler heads and wiring had been incorrectly marked by the licensed irrigation company that performed the utility locating. Based on that explanation, Treeland declined to cover the cost of the repairs. In summary, this experience has been a reminder that, as homeowners, we can do everything right—hire reputable companies, verify references, confirm insurance coverage, check the Better Business Bureau, read reviews, ask questions, carefully review contracts, and supervise the work. Even then, something can go wrong during a remodeling or landscaping project through no fault of the homeowner, yet the financial burden may still fall on the homeowner. My advice is to always budget a contingency fund for unexpected expenses. Even with the best planning and due diligence, unforeseen issues can arise, and having a financial cushion can make those situations much less stressful. Because of Treeland's response, I have changed the rating from three to four stars.

I Came last week to purchase plants out of the greenhouse they have a wide selection and everything was a good price. The nicest lady helped me her name was Megan or her name starts with a The nicest lady helped me her name was Megan or her name starts with an M sorry if I got your name wrong😅They have parking by the greenhouse to make loading easy. Everything was just so easy and smooth going.

I believe we were intentionally misled about pricing. From the beginning of our email exchange, it was clear we were requesting a tree removal service AND planting a new tree. The heading of the email chain going between us for over 23 emails was "tree removal and planting". I initially wanted to purchase a smaller tree, which would cost around $200. Instead I was quoted a $600 tree. When I asked about a less expensive one, I was informed to come to our location was a minimum of $645. Okay, I understand that. So we went along with the larger, more expensive tree. They sent over the invoice which my husband and I reviewed and signed. This was our mistake, because, admittedly, nowhere on the invoice did it say tree removal. However I had started all communication with the company by applying for a tree removal service, including sending in photos of the tree we wanted removed, and having extensive conversations about how much the removal would cost. The company arrived prepared to plant our tree, and the first thing they asked was "where does it go?". I pointed to the dead tree and told them that would be the tree we were replacing. "No, not on your invoice". Now the guys who do the planting are calling the office, I'm pulling up our multiple emails. Of course it's not the crew's fault (or problem) but we ended up paying them an additional almost $200 to remove a tree we thought we were already covering to get rid of. I had to outsource to my husband for communication with the front office, and they kept telling him "we always add it at the end" what does that even mean? We were recommended this business by a different tree nursery, and I regret listening to their advice. We could have purchased a smaller tree, saved money, and still hit our minimum to deliver to our area. Treeland Nursery is conniving.

Love! Vast selection of plants trees shrubs flowers everything. Love their self service model (hop on a golf cart, follow the map and inventory, tag your selected plant, very fun). Would recommend browsing their website beforehand otherwise can be a bit overwhelming showing up with no gauge of what you’re looking for. Employees are very nice! I got a moonshadow camellia, ruby slippers hydrangea, and many daylilies here
