I purchased a rose plant from this store two days ago, and at the time of purchase it already had a few yellow leaves with black spots, although this was not clearly noticeable. Within just a couple of days, the plant has significantly declined and now most of the leaves are yellow with black spots, indicating a likely pre-existing disease. When I contacted the store, I was refused any return or replacement. The response I received was that I should not have purchased the plant if it was diseased. However, the issue was not clearly identifiable at the time of purchase and as a customer, I would expect some level of transparency regarding plant health. I was also advised on how to treat the black spots, which made it even more disappointing that no solution or goodwill replacement was offered, especially for a $50 plant. Additionally, the call was ended abruptly which was unprofessional. I paid for a plant that appears to have been unhealthy at the time of sale, and I am disappointed with both the quality of the product and the customer service experience. I believe customers should be informed about plant health at the time of sale, and there should be a fair resolution when issues are raised shortly after purchase. I understand there may be a no-return policy, but basic accountability should still apply- especially within 72 hours of purchase. UPDATE: In response to the owner’s reply I called the store three times regarding this issue. On my first call, I was told I needed to speak with the store manager and that she would call me back. I did not receive any follow-up call. On my second call, I was able to speak with the manager. She informed me that there is no return policy for plants and mentioned that the black spots can be treated. I explained that it had only been about 72 hours since purchase, which strongly suggests the issue was already present at the time of sale. Her response was to ask why I purchased the plant if it was diseased, which I found unprofessional, especially since the issue was not clearly visible at the time of purchase. As customers, we rely on store staff to provide accurate guidance and disclose visible health concerns in plants. I responded that the plant had only a few affected leaves at the time and the condition was not apparent. The call was then ended abruptly. I called a third time because I did not feel the matter had been properly addressed. This time I spoke with a staff member but no resolution was offered. To clarify further: * I did not state that the plant looked fine.As shown in the first picture, it already had yellow leaves with black spots. * The plant has remained in the same location since purchase; it was only rotated yesterday to take photos. * The patio receives adequate sunlight and has supported healthy drought-tolerant plants for years. * Watering has been done according to the care instructions provided by the store, and there was no overwatering or underwatering. * The earlier photo showing wilting was taken on the same day of purchase. * At no point during any of my three calls did the store request photos of the plant. I believe this situation deserves fair consideration rather than having the concern dismissed without any acknowledgment or ownership of the possibility that the plant may have had a pre-existing issue at the time of purchase. I paid $50 expecting a healthy plant. Also, for future customers, I would strongly recommend taking a photo of the plant at the time of purchase for your own reference and protection.

I switched to Marshall Grain earlier this year, and every one of their plants has thrived! They have a great newsletter, and their weekly promo is always worth a look. I can’t believe how large some of the seed potatoes I planted in February have gotten (picture is only two plants), and although we finished off the cool season vegetables, the mustard greens still taste great as of June 1st. All of the summer season transplants established quickly as well. The staff is just as great as their products, and give excellent advice. If you’re looking for a nursery in the area, this is a local gem.
