Haw likely is it that my approximately 25 ft tall live oak tree is dead has a result of the recent severe freezing temperatures?

With Live Oaks a hard freeze does not mean that it is the end! It's likely fine and going through it's spring leaf change if you notice that the leaves are currently brown or you have bare branches. As long as leaves return, your Live Oak will be fine. It's recommend that you fertilize around the tree to help reinvigorate the soil so the tree has nutrients to pull from.
