About the Nursery

Native Texas Tree Nursery. Top products: Live Oaks, Burr Oaks, Mexican White Oaks, Mountain Laurels, Cedar Elms. Ehlers Tree Farm is a family-owned nursery located in Seguin, Texas, dedicated to the propagation and cultivation of native Texas tree species. Their primary operations focus on the entire lifecycle of the tree, starting from the collection of local acorns and seeds. These are germinated on-site and nurtured within their greenhouse facilities before being transitioned into progressively larger containers. The nursery offers a range of container sizes from 1-gallon starters to 30-gallon mature trees. Their inventory highlights a specialization in various oak species, including Live Oak, Burr Oak, Mexican White Oak, Chinkapin Oak, and Red Oak, alongside ornamental and native varieties like Mountain Laurel, Cedar Elm, and Desert Willow. The farm operates as a private, appointment-only horticultural provider, catering to local homeowners and landscapers looking for acclimated, locally grown nursery stock. They emphasize a hands-on, community-focused growing philosophy, managing production from seed to landscape-ready specimen.

Mr. Ehler explained the difference between a Mexican oak and a chipaquin oak. Very friendly and helpful, he also explained to us the difference between us them. I would tell everybody who's looking for tree's to go there. The tree's are around 5 to 6 ft and in very good condition. Ooh if u want expert advice just let him no, he will even pick out the tree's 4 u.

Bought some red oaks and we are very happy with the quality and size. Super friendly service and even helped us load them in our car. Will be back for dessert willows soon.

BEWARE! This company is sending mailers telling people their water provider requires a yearly backflow test and this is NOT always true! Do NOT fall for this scam without contacting your water provider to confirm if they require this test. Green Valley Special Utilities District confirmed to me that they don’t require this since we have sewer through them.
