This is the only place that I would buy flowers from for the last 5 years. I came here today & the place looks terrible. Lots of plants that are half dead, the place is empty, the have been out of mulch for weeks & no one around to help outside . I ran into 1 employee while walking the grounds. I’m extremely disappointed.

I went on a Sunday and it was closed! I’ve seen them advertised as being open on Sundays. I drove from Magnolia so it was very upsetting to make the drive for nothing
We had a very nice experience last weekend at Huatan's. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and we had "Junior" walk us around the grounds and suggest plants and trees that fit our needs and light levels for our yard.
Not open as advertised on sundays. Don’t waste your time coming here.
I’ve been to Huatan Gardens multiple times since they changed ownership, and every single visit has been disappointing. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and assumed they were just having an off day, but after several visits, I can confidently say the poor service is consistent. There are always 20+ workers standing around, yet no one offers to help with the pounds of plants I purchase. As a young woman, I find it especially frustrating to haul heavy carts in the sun, shove them into the crowded register area, and then load everything into my car while employees just watch. When I did get the attention of one worker and asked, in Spanish, for the price of certain plants, he didn’t even know. On top of that, I was shopping for specific plants that could handle certain amounts of water and sunlight, and I was completely misinformed. To make matters worse, I was also overcharged. Because of their poor service and misinformation, I decided to take my business to another nursery, where I received the proper guidance and care. If you want to do all the work yourself: sweating in the sun, struggling with carts, and lifting everything alone while staff stand around; then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend going elsewhere for your plants.
