I moved from Annandale and signed a full-year lawn care contract with Burke Nursery in March, expecting reliable, professional service. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. My first lawn treatment wasn’t completed until May 29. After waiting six weeks, I called the office several times to ask when my second treatment would be scheduled. The manager, Jennifer, told me she couldn’t provide an estimated date because of the weather and staff shortages. She also suggested that the delay was my fault because I signed the contract “late.” As a customer, I don’t think it’s reasonable to accept that explanation. Once a company accepts a contract, it should have the staffing, scheduling, and communication in place to provide the service it promised. If delays are unavoidable, customers should be kept informed instead of having to repeatedly call for updates. The lack of communication and poor management caused me to lose confidence in Burke Nursery’s lawn care service. I decided to cancel my contract because I no longer trust that the service will be delivered as promised. I previously used TruGreen for lawn care and never experienced these kinds of scheduling or communication issues. I regret switching to Burke Nursery and, based on my experience, I cannot recommend their lawn care service to others.

My husband and I had a great experience with Burke Nursery & Garden Centre when we went there to buy annuals for our front yard. Everyone on the grounds knew who to point you to for help, the staff was really aware of where plants were stocked and which ones were sold out. When looking for annuals, we were helped by Hugo who was so knowledgeable about which plants I was looking for, where they were, whether they were sold out, and good substitutes if they were sold out. Customer service on the phone has also been warm, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile when I call to ask about stock. They do seem to run out of stock in popular plants, at least on the weekends in these early warm weather weeks. Make sure to call ahead, and if they have the plants in stock, don’t wait! I will plan to return for all my garden needs and would recommend this place to anyone who asked.
A pleasant place to spend some time and money. I like to just walk through and browse for plants, get some inspiration. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
