We found Huckleberry Gardens on our way to visit a loved one at St Anne Hospital. Whenever possible we prefer to shop local and we were thrilled to see that it was open. We checked the hours posted on the door before we started walking around. We got there at 5:40 - 20 minutes before it closed. When we got there the employee (or owner? Unsure) was very rude and barked “we close at 6:00”. We understood but honestly had money in our pockets and needed some retail therapy. We said we’d be brief and started to look around. 2 minutes later my mom asked if the woman would like us to leave - sensing that maybe we were in her way from closing. The woman again stated even louder “WE CLOSE AT 6:00, MA’AM”. It was incredibly rude and unnecessary. It was very disappointing. We just needed a little break from being in and out of the hospital visiting our loved one and were honestly shocked to receive this type of response. We left right then and will gladly give our money to a different nursery or garden. Wouldn’t be surprised if this overpriced garden with awful customer service would close soon.
