About the Nursery

Christmas Tree and Seasonal Farm. Top products: U-Cut Christmas Trees, Pumpkins. McMurtrey Farm is a family-operated agricultural business established in 1975. Originally founded by Larry and Dolly McMurtrey as a retirement venture, the operation has evolved under the leadership of their daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Pablo Sifuentes. The farm specializes in seasonal agritourism and horticultural products, most notably offering U-Cut Christmas trees during the holiday season. In recent years, the business has expanded its agricultural offerings to include a pumpkin patch and corn-based seasonal activities. The farm operates as a community-focused destination, welcoming families, pet owners, and professional photographers. While the farm has a historical background in growing bamboo and vegetables, its current primary horticultural focus is providing an interactive, seasonal plant-based experience for the local community, emphasizing hands-on engagement with their field-grown products.

We’ve been part of your customers for many years but unfortunately, you priced us out. No decent Christmas tree under $150 (6 to 7ft) this year. This is kinda sad. We used to be able to find many around $70 to $80 a few years ago. I am all for supporting a local business but this place is now 3x more expensive than HomeDepot.

I'm giving a 3 star because I thought the price was bit high for a pumpkin patch. It was $9 per person just for admission. I paid for myself and my friend and also my 2 year old. After tax it was almost 30 dollars. The tractor ride was free which was nice and the people seemed friendly but when I went to go check out the barrel car rides for my son they were charging another $6... and $4.50 for instant apple cider and $10.00 for kettle corn. The pros were that they had a lot of activities for kids to do like going down little slides, bowling, corn hole and lots of pretty photo opportunities and a corn maze you could walk through. We also really enjoyed the tractor ride and got some cute little pumpkins but probably wouldn't come back again unfortunately because of the prices.

Visited for pumpkin season. Small ish place, $9 adnission which seems a bit high for what is offered but also not too expensive. Nice people. I'd suggest they do the thing of crediting admission towards purchase of pumpkins, but their pumpkin prices seemed lower than others so maybe not. No food options. Worth a visit because they seem like good people but not an epic experience by far. The corn maze is included and was cute. If you have small children this might be perfect because cost is relatively low and young kids don't need grand adventures.
