I have known Rico of Arborico Nursery for many years and have hired him on a number of occasions for the removal of honeysuckle,buckthorn and other invasives in my prairie restorations and forested windbreaks. I never had to worry about good trees and shrubs being accidentally remove,as his knowledge of native plants is extensive. I’ve been clearing my property from evasive and unwanted material for over thirty years. It’s been a long process and I needed some land clearing in an over grown area next to a pond. There also was a fence row with barb wire imbedded in buckthorn trees and honey suckle. There was some invasive brush in my prairie also. With my past experience with a forestry mower, I thought it would take three trips from Reco to complete the project. I figured I would do the land clearing first and have him come back next year and the year after to complete the project. He finished the land clearing, opening up a section of my property I had never seen. The mulch he left behind was small pieces, unlike a former clearer who left many three and four inches by tree foot pieces. I finally had access to a neighboring pond. It wasn’t even lunch time. He said he could do the fence line and the prairie. When I came out when he was finished, I couldn’t believe what I saw. Both of these areas were completed. Reco is very professional and very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He responds quickly to phone calls and messages and is a pleasure to work with.
