Outstanding Big Leaf Hydrangea's ! Packing was superb. Both plants in full bloom, this is the best plant shipment I have ever received in my 89 years. Thank you.

Ordered two Royal purple smoke bushes. They both arrived in terrible condition. The tips were dead and brittle. All of the branches were bent in the same direction as though the bush had been compressed or laying on it side. The trunk of the bush is very unsteady in the ground and feels loose like it was being swung around or was damaged. I doubt these plants will survive.

I tried ordering 18 plants from them but they only had 10 available ~ I ordered what they had on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The agent said they ship out pretty quickly and that I should have the order next week - maybe a day or so later than expected bc of Memorial Day weekend. No problem. Kept checking the status the following week to see which day they were going to be delivered. Nothing until Thursday (when I called to cancel the order bc I finally found the plants local) and suddenly appears as ‘processing’. I explained to the main operator the situation and she said it shouldn’t be a problem but will have to get back with me once she spoke to the garden center - to which she could never get someone to call her back regarding my order? After calling for two days to verify the ordered didn’t get shipped (it didn’t and wasn’t about too) Kaylee never called me back and they sent me an email stating they’ve refunded me, less my 20% charge?! They charged me $50. Let me add this was not a local delivery. It would have been shipped FEDX so the the items were never on the truck. And yes, thank you for the standard ‘I’m sorry’ follow up response. This is not a way to do business. I have no way of knowing which days your place pulled the order, considering it took 2 days to get back to me. If you can find local plants I would suggest doing that….

Disappointed, bought the one year warranty for a shrub and we needed to use it. Customer service was hard to reach and after finally getting ahold of someone and getting the process moving, we never received our replacement shrub or even heard from representative again.

I stumbled upon McKay Nursery while trying to find a red currant plant (ribes rubrum), which was nearly impossible to locate in the US (especially this time of year and at an affordable price). I was a bit skeptical to have a bare root shipped from WI to WA, but decided to take the chance. WOW, I am so thankful that I did! The care that they took in packaging my plant for shipping was outstanding. The first pictures were from the day that I received my plant and then the progress only 2 weeks later. They included a very easy to follow guide specific to my plant and the process was super simple. Also, Kaylee with customer service was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend McKay and they are at the top of my list for future ordering!
