I have emailed and called/spoken to reps at Duncan Family Farms several times about printing harvest dates on their packaged produce. While their printed code on the bottom of plastic packages may mean something to them, it means NOTHING to the consumer. Most of the time it's either smeared or not visible at all anyway. Earthbound and several other organic produce companies print both a harvest date and a best-by date, so why can't Duncan Fam Farms? Consumers who are spending the $$$$$ to buy organic sprouts and microgreens are informed customers and, guess what? They want to be informed about harvest date so they can determine freshness. Maybe this is why Duncan Family Farms is avoiding doing so. $4.49 for 1.5 ounces of microgreens is a lot to pay and I, along with a few friends, ask very little: Print the harvest date on the label, not the plastic where is smears off. I want to support a local farmer, but when I make mutliple attempts to let them know harvest date is important to consumers and that their competitors print them on package labels and DFF continues to make no changes, it's concerning. It's the 21st Century and this is a small ask. Sigh! Sheesh! I'm going to start growing my own microgreens and sprouts. I can do it for a lot less money and I don't want to continue buying from a company that doesn't take something as important as harvest date seriously. The whole reason for buying these products is for the bioavailability of the nutrients.

Didn't this store used to be called "Pugh's Store" in the 1960's ? Is this building still around?
