I’ve tried the Green Spell salve they make here, and liked it very much. It’s only made of herbs (chickweed, plantain, calendula) beeswax. I have psoriasis, and it seems to be helping with my rashes, although progress is slow. I think I’ll be buying another jar, once I run out:) thank you Olga!

We had a wonderful experience at Mushroom Mountain. The tour was both informative and enjoyable from start to finish. We learned about a wide variety of mushrooms, including how they grow and their unique characteristics. One highlight was the outdoor mushroom oven, be sure to stop and hear the story behind it, as it’s truly fascinating. We also toured the lab, where mushrooms are tested and cultivated, and explored the nursery, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the growing process. Toward the end of the tour, we went on a guided walk through the forest. This was my favorite part. Our guide pointed out different mushroom species in their natural environment, shared their history, and explained their uses. Seeing mushrooms growing in the wild made identification much more meaningful and practical. We wrapped up our visit in the shop, which offers a variety of unique mushroom-related items, definitely worth browsing. Tip: Dress for an outdoor setting, think an easy hike or a relaxed walk in the woods. The field areas can be a bit muddy and damp, especially the parking. If you enjoy nature, learning, or mushrooms in general, I highly recommend visiting. And while the name “Mushroom Mountain” might suggest towering peaks, it’s actually a peaceful wooded setting but it truly feels like you’ve stepped into the mountains. They’ve done an excellent job educating visitors while also sharing their research and passion for fungi.
The taste of the forest dinner was spectacular. Gorgeous table setting, delicious food, excellent service.
There was no colonization at all from the Paddy Straw sawdust spawn I received. I tried two blocks, the original and replacement, on a variety of substrates and no growth occurred. Spawn was incompletely colonized, old, and dead on both occasions. If you are working with Volvariella, it is better to produce your own spawn and work quickly rather than order it from any supplier. This seller was communicative and willing to replace the product, but in this case it should have just been refunded as I do not believe this should have even been sold in the first place.
Responsive to my email asking for advice, fast shipping, received as expected, will use again, thank you mushroom mountain!
