I recently had the pleasure of trying the lion’s mane mushrooms from them, and I can honestly say they exceeded all my expectations. The quality was outstanding — fresh, firm, and full of flavor. You can tell they put a lot of care into cultivating their mushrooms. The lion’s mane had a wonderful texture and a naturally rich, slightly seafood-like taste that made it perfect for a variety of dishes. I sautéed mine with a little butter and garlic, and it was absolutely delicious! On top of the amazing product, the service was excellent — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. It’s clear that Big Apple Fungi is dedicated to providing top-tier mushrooms, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend to anyone looking for premium-quality mushrooms!

I absolutely love their mushrooms! I visit their stall at the green market in Sunnyside. I get a pound of mushrooms and usually it’s a mix between oyster, shimeji, or shiitake. This time around I tried acorn mushrooms, which had a great nutty flavor. All their mushrooms are of high quality and you can tell they put care into growing them. I look forward to buying them every Saturday. I highly recommend trying some mushrooms from them - you won’t regret it!
