I was greatly impressed when Paul said he would split a 47-pound bag of cement in two bags so I could carry it up my stairs for a DIY project. At first, I called five hardware stores in San Rafael, asking for a 25-pound bag. The smallest was forty-seven pounds. Only Paul presented a solution. It was such a small purchase, but he did not see it that way. He just saw a positive outcome. I am so grateful. The entire staff is committed and knowledgeable every time I come. Yup, Ace is the place indeed.

Went to this ace hardware to grab some pokemon cards as I’ve seen on social media that they have them. I went here two days ago and had a great experience with one of the girls! But today, I called 10 minutes before I arrived asking if price matching is allowed and they said yes, as long as it’s from the official Ace hardware website, then all is good. Well I went in, grabbed 6 packs and headed to the checkout counter. I kindly approached this lady with red curly hair letting her know I just called about match pricing for the packs. She rudely looked me up and down saying, with an attitude, “ we don’t price match here *scoffs*”. And I reminded her that I JUST called and they said they do. She looked at the website I showed her and laughed to herself while saying “yeah that’s the website but a different store”. That’s the whole point of price matching. I told her that exact point and she rolled her eyes and went through with the transaction. I’ve never had a bad experience at an ACE hardware with customer service until today.

Check your receipts. Besides the rude and disrespectful cashier. I was charged a CRV but did not get any items that would categorize a recycled item. Not worth asking for the $.05 refund but I will be reporting this to CALRECYCLE and CANLOAD.
