They have an excellent selection of the usual and unusual plants and a knowledgeable staff to help pick the best ones.

Such a charming nursery & greenhouse with the loveliest staff. They have a great selection of houseplants, hanging baskets, plants for the garden, fruit trees etc and they run some great sales! I was looking for a cebu blue pothos and they were so kind to contact me when they got some in stock (it is rare for me to find them in my area nurseries/garden centers) I travel an hour to visit because the customer service & selection are fantastic and it is easy to make a day of it while visiting the area. Thank you so much Larson’s & shout out to Zack!! ~Heather

We purchased 14 trees and had them plant them with mulch. They were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They guarantee their plants for 1 year. The trees did fine. BUT, we bought a flowering perennial bush from them and other plants and followed all the instructions on how to care for them since I have many planted in my yard. Well, unfortunately it didn’t come back this spring. We tried everything and gave it some extra time to see if it would come back and it didn’t. My husband called them to tell them what happened and they told him he waited too long to call (but we wanted to give it a little more time since the spring weather wasn’t too warm and we thought it would come back because we didn’t want to make the trip all the way up there if it was coming back. (We live in Southington). It was 10 days after the exact year we purchased it. They would NOT work with us. We even had another tree planted (we purchased through Alli’s Nursery & Garden in Plantsville and we didn’t think it was going to make it. We called and sent pictures and we were within the time frame to have a replacement and they told us to give It some time because the spring was still chilly. My husband said he didn’t want to be over the 1 year guarantee of the survival of the tree. And they said, “NOT A PROBLEM! WE STAND BY OUR PRODUCTS AND HAVE A REPUTABLE COMPANY. If you’re not happy or if the tree doesn’t survive we honor our promise to our customers! We will replace it after giving it a chance. The tree ended up surviving. Now this is what I call great service and a great company. We spent A LOT OF money at Larson’s To buy 14 trees, delivery and for them plant and mulch them. As well as going back and buying.a bush and other plants from them. But not to honor their guarantee buy 10 days is not a way to do good business. When we went to Ali’s the tree’s and bushes were all cheaper prices too. So we ended up buying more trees from them. A company who backs their products! We were new customers to Larson’s but we won’t be going back there! I hear since the kids took over it’s gone down hill. Be Leary before you buy anything from them. We would have done more business with them if they only stood buy the replacement of our bush. All over $50 but we spent way over a thousand+ dollars. So $50 and a replacement was a loss for us. Price around.Do your research. Go to a company who will stand by their products. Ali’s is our now go to place. To the Larson’s owners, this is not a good way to do business if you want repeat customers. We only gave 2 stars because we were happy with the trees but graded you on your lack of compassion, Trust, your products longevity and your guarantee.

I have only ever met kind, helpful staff who have answered every silly question I've asked them over the years. Whether it be garden pests, fertilizing, or growing something new, I always know that I can get quality advice alongside quality products. I particularly like their selection of soil options. Plus, they have this little shopping cart sometimes that my little guys can push around. They've done more for a next generation of gardeners with that cart than I have with years of patient instruction.

They had what I needed locally at a decent price. Bought a bunch of veggie seedlings and some soil. Shop local!
