About the Nursery

Christmas Tree Grower Association. Top products: Christmas trees, Maple syrup, Ornamental plants, Shrubs. Lewis Christmas Tree Farm operates within the network of the Connecticut Christmas Tree Growers Association, a professional organization dedicated to the promotion and support of local tree farming. The entity functions as a horticultural operation focused on the cultivation, management, and retail distribution of seasonal coniferous trees. These farms typically utilize sustainable silviculture practices to provide high-quality evergreens for the holiday market, serving local homeowners and wholesale buyers. In addition to primary tree production, many member farms, including those associated with this network, diversify their operations by offering secondary agricultural products such as maple syrup and ornamental nursery stock. The mission of this sector is to provide locally sourced, fresh horticultural products while supporting the agricultural economy of the region through established growing standards and community engagement.

The tree that I bought this year 2025 is exceptionally beautiful, perfect shape and it’s still as frrrsh as when I pick it out the weekend after thanksgiving. The Christmas chalet has some really cool and different item for sale . I couldn’t resist buying & the prices were actually very good. This will always be my 1st choice for getting my tree going forward. The staff are very helpful and even friendly towards people with handicap as I am. Very polite and very knowledgeable about the trees

I will start with- They looked like they had some decent options for precut. Didn’t look at them too carefully honestly, as our mission was to cut our own. I watched every single group of people (5- to include ourselves) walk through their 3 fields of trees and walk back empty handed. If you’re looking for the cut your own experience don’t waste your time here!!!! If you go to Bethlehem- may be 15 minutes from this farm, Bethlehem Vineyard and Winery- they had lots of great options for those who want to cut down their own.

If you are looking to cut your own tree, I don’t recommend going here. They have beautiful pre-cut trees for $100, or cut your own for $75. Except that there’s nothing over 3 feet to cut your own (see photo of cut your own options). When you arrive, you’ll see a great arrangement of trees standing in the field, and if you’re like my family, you’ll think those were to cut yourself. But then you’ll notice they are pre-cut and standing up on a post to look like they are still in the ground. We were disappointed to attempt to cut one down and then realize it was a $100 pre-cut one. Furthermore, it didn’t seem like the pre-cut ones were grown at this farm (assuming they were brought in from a different farm), so if that matters to you then I don’t suggest this place.

If you’re looking to cut your own tree, wait 5 years before going to this location. There is nothing to cut over 4ft currently.

A family tradition for us, every year. Hiking up the hill at the tree farm, selecting a tree, and enjoying the view from the top of the hill. A great way to start our Holiday Season. The guys do a great job tying the tree onto the car for you. Why go anywhere else?
