I have had such a great experience working with Niraj. Not only are his plants beautiful he’s got the best attitude and heart. I know that sounds extreme but he genuinely cares about customers and their experience. Highly highly recommend and I will always support this small business!

About the Nursery
Urban Farm and Nursery. Top products: CSA produce shares, Vegetable starts, Houseplants, Herbs. Cultivate the City is an urban agricultural organization focused on food production, horticultural education, and community engagement. Operating primarily within an urban setting, the business functions as a specialty grower and plant supplier, offering a diverse range of vegetable starts and houseplants to the local community. Beyond traditional plant sales, they operate a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, providing weekly shares of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs directly to subscribers. Their mission-driven approach emphasizes food security and self-sufficiency, evidenced by their educational programming that teaches families how to produce their own food. The company also provides commercial plant care and maintenance services. Their customer base spans from individual homeowners and plant enthusiasts to local schools and commercial entities. By integrating food production with educational workshops—such as houseplant care and seasonal wreath making—Cultivate the City acts as a hub for both horticultural resources and community-based agricultural outreach.

Are you kidding me? I'm ruined. I can never go to another nursery. I slammed out 3 plants on my wish list in one trip after looking everywhere else for MONTHS. The owner is so knowledgeable and kind, the prices are more than fair, and the plants themselves are clearly healthy and cared for. If you're looking for the tropicals or just generally harder-to-find plants at affordable prices, this is your place!
