Inherited a few plants from my mom that hadn’t been very well maintained, so I brought them to Victorian (Edgewood) for repotting and pruning. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Libby was awesome! I definitely didn’t make it easy on her—the plants were in pretty rough shape—but she did an amazing job bringing them back to life. Highly recommend!

I went in today excited to become a new plant mom. When my boyfriend and I walked in there were four workers in the center of the store; no one greeted us. We looked around, no-one asked if we needed anything. We left and came back in after spotting a plant through the window outside; still no one said anything. They blatantly ignored us. We stood at the counter for a while holding the plant, waiting for one of the four workers to stop talking and stocking. Still, no one even walked 3 ft to check us out. If you’re wondering by now… yes we are. This is very disappointing because I grew up in eav and wanted to support this shop more than others. I guess they don’t want our business.

I stopped in to get a low to medium maintenance plant that would be great for indoors. Parking was very tight, so we parked across the street. It’s a small, cute spot and well organized. No one was at the counter when we came in, so we (my husband and I) looked around while we waited for someone to assist us. They don’t have a huge selection, so it didn’t take us long to look around. I wasn’t interested in a desert plant, so we didn’t venture into that section. There were 4 people in the space: the barista, a man sitting with his laptop at the coffee counter, and 2 men who had been chatting next to the coffee counter since we’d arrived. We approached the coffee counter and asked if there was someone who could help us with the plants. We were told to see one of the men talking (I forget his name). He looked at us and, without any acknowledgment, turned back to his conversation. We lingered a few moments more, then left.

Disappointed by my experience today. After speaking in person, I felt my concerns were downplayed, and I was blindsided by the costs. I went in for a plant repotting service using my own pot and soil ( I thought), but the price was unexpectedly high. While the shop is lovely and the staff is kind, the lack of upfront pricing transparency for services makes equitable plant care inaccessible and put a damper on what would have been a great experience ( my plant was still well loved otherwise). I don’t mind what they charge, every business has that right, but I need it communicated clearly up front. Because of this, I won’t be a returning customer at this price range, especially since I used to get similar service for free or much more affordably. Please consider how your communication, systems, or process could be improved to prevent financial harm from happening in the future. Thank you!
