Jungle of Niles

Jungle of Niles is like walking into a conservatory with a mish mosh of plants. Locationally challenged, it isn't the most convenient place from the city but certainly is a place to see before their lease runs out. Jungle has over 100,000 square feet of plants, pets and outdoor equipment. There are outdoor furniture, pool tables, ques and holiday decorations that may have been there for ages. The fish tank, turtles, tortoise, rabbits and bird cage need a good cleaning and care. As for plants, yes there are many indoor and outdoor plants priced to stay and not move $$$$. Outdoor seasonal plants are a good deal, as well as the succulents. Check out the almost dead section if you are good at plant care and resurrection as they have the best deals and most are just over watered. We bought some Lillies and Orchids as we arrived too late in the season for outdoor garden vegetables.

Upon being there this weekend - I understand you are closing, however, the rabbits were extremely neglected. Nails not trimmed, flies everywhere, over heated, and your rabbit Coco was visibly dirty with an issue with itching, causing a patch of fur to be missing. The white rabbit was over heated and clearly lethargic due to this. As a facility that considers yourself an animal sanctuary, this is alarming. Upon asking if i could buy the rabbit, I was informed the animals are not for sale. I then explained the issue and the young lady shrugged and walked away. This needs to be addressed immediately as I will be returning to take pictures of the animals and report the neglect this week. Luckily, I didnt have my phone with me when I went or the report and pictures would be done.

Went into the store wondering why it could be losing its lease. Left the store wishing it could lose the lease quicker. Plants are completely mistreated covered in mites. Worst of all was seeing they kept animals in that hot windowless box they call a plant store. About 50+ koi fish squished into what looked like a 20’x20’ aquarium. Two fully grown tortoises confined to a small plywood pen. Not to mention the owner in the past stepping on one of the birds killing it and claiming it was fine because the bird wasn’t one of the expensive ones. Needless to say this is a jungle I’d happily see be deforested.

my daughter and i took the babies to see the animals and buy some plants and what we thought were going to be discounted prices- nope! it was hotter inside the store than outside that day. the animal attractions are mediocre and kinda sad, tbh. the plants are priced at a 3.5xs markup- no discount here. now i see why it’s closing. oh and the bathroom was disgusting.

I just wanna say that the people who were working there were extremely nice hence, the reason why I’m giving this two stars instead of one. The animals habitats could be a lot better. I have seen worse. The tortoises do need a bigger enclosure where they can dig burrows. The birds seem to be OK actually. The fish actually look healthy at first glance not my area I always hate seeing frogs in such tiny terrarium. They are hoppers. Now onto the plants. They have a huge selection. It just seems like everything is wilting or look in rough shape. Will go to the new location if they find one.
