The absolute worst service I have ever received in my life! We live roughly 50 mi from their location. Called ahead of time. The person on the phone had almost no information acted like they didn't want to speak to us in the first place. We told them that we were on our way and nobody said that they wouldn't be able to load when we got here. Got to the location. People are unfriendly and told us that we were too late for them to load our vehicle of bulk soil. Plus we were 30 minutes before closing time and this really jeopardized my plants. They are already needing planted. I will never in my entire life purchase anything from this company!
In 2024 Abel Nursery evaluated and then planted several items across my property. They did this in the hottest week of the year, however, without watering anything that they were planting. They also mismatched stones without suggesting replacement of old ones and added rock that was substantially different without raking it into the existing rockbeds. It took me greater than one year to get them to return to replace about 14 of these items in August 2025, five of which did not survive. They admitted they had to teach people in the company that they were supposed to water while planting and that it should never have happened. I was told today, that those plants were not guaranteed and would not be replaced. I had notified the owner by text within a week of planting that some of those 14 did not look healthy. When I thought things were reconciled in August, I agreed to a one-year contract for maintenance. They completed that in four months. They cut the tops off of my round flowering bushes that barely survived. They look absolutely nothing like the last two years. Nightmare. They also took it upon themselves to transfer two of my boxwoods, and those did not survive. The only reason I’m giving it a two is because the owner did attempt to resolve the issue in August, but it would seem that the things that I asked for which were color, consistency and curb appeal could not be honored. The price tag was very high but the crews were not trained and the plants chosen were not a match for sun exposure or the terrain, some not even healthy. I chose them due to reputation and community presence. Communication except payment or signing contracts, with this company, is extremely poor. I will not reuse them and I do not recommend.
