Awesome bonsai nursery & gallery. Beautiful selection and really well priced. The staff was super helpful and welcoming. A great place for bonsai beginners and enthusiasts alike! We left with a gorgeous juniper and a new pot on sale!! Definitely coming back for more plants. They also had a bonsai hospital and bonsai hotel.

I love this place deeply! I am very much a beginner, but love coming to enjoy the trees on display, shop, or take a class. I recently took the Basics Part 2 course and it was an incredible experience - I learned a lot and have a beautiful tree I am very proud of!
What a fantastic experience at Bonsai West. We’re incredibly lucky to have one of the largest bonsai nurseries in the country right here in Massachusetts. The workshop itself was outstanding, but what really set the experience apart was the people. Michael, the owner, and Steven, our instructor, were intentional, welcoming, and genuinely invested in every participant’s success. You could immediately tell that they weren’t just teaching techniques, they were sharing a passion and an art form that they truly love. Steven was an exceptional instructor, taking the time to answer questions, explain the “why” behind each step, and ensure everyone felt comfortable throughout the process. Michael’s enthusiasm and commitment to creating a world-class learning environment were evident in every aspect of the experience. We left with our own bonsai trees, a deeper appreciation for the art of bonsai, and a strong desire to come back for another workshop. Whether you’re a beginner or a longtime enthusiast, Bonsai West is a special place and well worth a visit.
