I got some bunchberry and northern spice bush last fall from Bush’s and they came back strong and healthy this spring, so I went back to get more stuff! Both experiences were excellent. They have tons of native plants as well as more traditional nursery stuff. I think I met an owner, and I forgot to tell him how hilarious the name of the business is. Every time we pass by it we cackle. Very effective marketing decision! I think this is my favorite Maine nursery so far.

We stopped to see what they had for inventory and were amazed! They had plants I couldn’t find in big nurseries! They were friendly and very helpful!

The Best Nursery Experience in Maine – Hands Down! We were driving through town when we spotted the name “Bushes Bushes” and couldn’t help but chuckle—so of course we had to pull in. What we found was far more than expected! This nursery is a hidden gem with an incredible selection of plants, trees, and garden goods—all at extremely reasonable prices. We’ve now been back three times, and each visit has been better than the last. Today we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Nancy and Ed, and they are wonderful. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their entire team is just as friendly and helpful. They even had a fantastic Father’s Day special—25% off fruit trees and fruit plants—which made our visit even sweeter. Thanks to them, we found the perfect additions for our garden, and this place has officially become part of our Sunday routine whenever we’re in town. If you’re anywhere near the Richmond area, Bushes Bushes is an absolute must-stop. And if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, swing by Morning Moose Coffee—we’ll be sure to match the top-notch hospitality Nancy and Ed showed us!
