Incredible staff! I went to the store looking for a plant in a shady room. I expected them to point. They helped me pick the right plant. I got two. I’m going to use them this spring.

I purchased a very expensive Christmas tree at Broadway Gardens and within just 3 days of having it up and giving it plenty of spring water, the trunk starts to rot and turned blue (which is a kind of fungus). This is most likely attributed to how the attendant cut the three. In addition to making a fresh cut at the base like I told him to , I had noticed he also made at least several big 3" cuts up along the side of the tree. I had never seen that before, but because he was the supposed professional, I figured he knew what he was doing. Upon research, it is actually a bad, bad idea to make the three vertical cuts that he did. It not only makes the tree unsturdy, , but it actually greatly impacts the tree's ability to absorb water, and opens wounds for infection. Because it was at risk of falling over and a fire hazard I had no choice to take it down just three days before Christmas. Days of decorating and perfecting the tree, all to have it up for only a week and to have finished decorating just three days before having to take it down. Broadway Gardens truly did spoil my Christmas. Now I have no tree!!! Also, generally the nursery is over-priced. The only reason I go there - and I think I can vouch for others - is because they are the only decent greenhouse around. If you want to overpay and experience buyers remorse for doing so, or buy a Christmas tree from a business who doesn't know what they're doing, then go to Broadway Gardens.
