Veldheer Tulip Gardens

I’m unfortunately very disappointed with our recent visit to Veldheer Tulip Gardens. My fiancée and I visited expecting to see the beautiful tulip displays that the gardens are known for, but what we found was a garden that was clearly far past peak bloom — the overwhelming majority of tulips were wilted, cut back, or no longer in good condition. What made the experience especially frustrating was that we were still charged full admission price ($18 per person) despite the gardens being in a significantly diminished state. While I understand nature is unpredictable and bloom timing can’t be controlled, I strongly believe customers should be clearly warned before purchasing tickets when the main attraction is no longer close to its advertised condition. After reaching out privately in good faith to share feedback, the initial response felt dismissive and largely amounted to “you were warned,” rather than acknowledging the very reasonable disappointment customers might feel paying full price for an experience that no longer reflects what is being marketed. To their credit, they eventually offered a ticket for next year, which I appreciated. However, weeks later that ticket never arrived, requiring additional follow-up. (We still have not received anything...) I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt future visitors should know: if you are visiting late in the season, be extremely cautious. The gardens may be well past their prime, but pricing does not appear to reflect that reality. Overall: disappointing customer experience, poor expectation management, and underwhelming service recovery.

Tourist TRAP

For the price you pay to enter, they should allow people to pick up to a minimum of tips as their blooms will wilt and dry anyways. Most of the tulips by May 10th Mother’s Day ended. If you like photography, this is for you. My kids who loves flowers did not find this amusing.

Very disappointed, the garden area is very run down, for 18.00 admission not worth it.

I took off a star because it was the least accessible farm we visited during the festival. Other than that, it was a nice place to visit and the staff was very friendly. Don't miss the wooden shoe making demonstration.
