Bought thousands of dollars worth of trees. We talked to two people and they will not refund for this tree. It was dead shortly after planting. We have landscaped 4 other houses and there was always a warranty. This is bad business!!
Bought some trees through them. One died immediately and they did not replace it or refund any of our money. Tried to contact many times and they did not respond nor return calls.
Plant 1 is smaller scale, but has or can order everything a landscape installer needs I'm told. I recently went there for the first time... Nate, the owner's son, instantly greeted me from his Kubota after getting out of my truck, was warm and welcoming, and after I asked where a few things were he took me on a quick tour. That goes a long way for me- it gives me the lay of the place and makes me feel like my business is wanted and needed; something larger wholesalers definitely lack. After the tour he helped me pick out plants and gather them in the Kubota which saved me time. My first purchase was for a small project: 5 phlox, a 3 gallon azalea, 2 blood grasses, 5 blue fescue, and 4 astilbe, and the total was less than I had ballparked, so their prices are comparable to other Michigan wholesalers or better. All their prices are online now, which helps in the design and estimating process. The few times I've called, the phone is answered on the first ring. I will be dealing with Plant 1 more often now. I'm looking forward to seeing how rapidly they can order some of the more obscure and specific plants or landscape materials that my customers, or I as a designer want at times.
