About the Nursery

Retail garden center and nursery. Top products: flowers, shrubs, produce. Lee's Produce & Garden Center is a multi-generational horticultural business based in Clayton, North Carolina, operating since 1998. Founded by Jonathan Lee—who began his career with a produce stand at age 12—the business has evolved into a comprehensive garden center under the leadership of Jonathan and Erin Lee. The center functions as a retail destination for local homeowners, offering a selection of flowers, shrubs, and garden supplies. By integrating the family’s agricultural background with a focus on ornamental plant retail, the center serves as a cornerstone for community landscaping projects and residential gardening. The business prioritizes a personalized, customer-focused approach, assisting clients through the various stages of garden planning and execution. Their operations reflect a deep commitment to the Clayton community, drawing on decades of experience to provide both edible produce and foundational landscape materials, including a variety of flowering plants and woody shrubs for regional gardening needs.

My favorite nursery in this area. Attentive and knowledgeable staff is always so willing to assist in choosing the right plants for my garden and I love coming here very much. I also love the fresh fruits and produce inside the nursery shop.

Good selection but the fact that they sell some non-native species that are detrimental to local wildlife is concerning. Do not buy the Mexican Milkweed (aka Tropical Milkweed). It spreads disease among monarch butterflies.

Sure the produce and flowers are amazing but what really sets this place apart is the wonderful people that work here. Always helpful, and super friendly. Thank you for making every trip here great.
