About the Nursery

Christmas Tree Specialty Farm. Top products: Christmas trees, seedlings. Wintergreen Christmas Tree Farm is a specialized horticultural operation situated on a historic property dating back to the late 1700s. Originally a dairy operation, the site transitioned into a Christmas tree farm in 1961 under the Albeck family and is currently managed by the Allison family. The farm maintains approximately 60 acres dedicated to the production of over 10,000 trees, which are grown from seedlings to heights of up to 8 feet. The business model centers on an agritourism-focused 'choose-and-cut' experience for retail customers during the holiday season. The farm provides equipment such as saws and carts to facilitate the customer harvest process. It operates as a seasonal destination, emphasizing a picturesque environment and traditional tree-farming practices. The facility is strictly cash-only and enforces specific rules regarding pet leashing and equipment usage to ensure guest safety and property management.

Not only was everyone working there INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful, the trees are superb. We wanted one around 7" tall and fat and had pur pick. They have wheeled carts to help get the tree back to the parking/tree-wrapping area and I was grateful because the farm is quite extensive and we wandered afar. It's already on our calendar to return next year!

Lovely farm run by some great folks! A variety of sizes and kinds to choose from—my favorite is definitely the Concolor Fir for that ~citrus smell. Quite the harvest they have this year. Would 100% recommend stopping by and supporting Wintergreen Farm.

Drove out on black friday 2021. Wonderful people, wonderful farm. Other farms say they have Fraser firs and Concolor firs and have very few small ones. Wintergreen has so many. Picked out a Concolor and the citrus smell was amazing. Long soft needles on a beautiful 8 footer. They have tree carts to bring the tree back to barn. They will bundle the tree in plastic mesh for you as well. This isn't a "hot chocolate and all kind of knick knacks for sale" kind of farm. Just trees and a few wreaths and maybe(?) a garland. Again, very nice people. Finally found a tree farm we'll be returning to. Extra bonus is the downtown (really just a crossroads) of Lafayette has a few cute Antique shops, and a bookstore. One shop has lots of chocolate treats. Edit: Have gone back 2023 & 25 and very happy with the trees we’ve found. Seems that the farm is getting more popular as it’s been busier. One thing I wish they had was a tree shaker to dislodge needles that are ready to come off. Relatively minor thing.. 2025 tree price was $80

Trees are now $120. 11 months ago they were $70,, this represents over 71% increase from less than a year a go!! I thought inflation was only around 10%?
