Baumley Nursery, Landscaping and Garden Center is more than a place to buy plants. It’s a destination for anyone who loves gardens. Unlike most garden centers, Baumley uses its plants to create beautiful, garden-like displays throughout the property, making a walk through the nursery a pleasure in itself. The selection is extensive, with a wide variety of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and specialty plants. The plants are consistently healthy and of excellent quality. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. Jeff, the owner, embodies much of what makes Baumley special. He is approachable and generous with his time, but what stands out most is the depth of his knowledge of plants, landscape design, site conditions, and how gardens come together as a whole. Jeff recently completed a landscaping project at my home, and the results are beautiful. He successfully united a more formal area of my property with a neighboring naturalistic space, creating a transition so seamless that the two areas seem to have always belonged together. The installation was carried out by Brian and his crew, who did an excellent job throughout the project. Brian was skilled, patient, flexible, attentive, and receptive to my ideas from beginning to end. Within a day of completion, neighbors were already stopping to comment on how lovely the yard looked. What impressed me most, however, was Jeff's commitment to quality and follow-through. The day after the project was finished, he returned to make sure everything had been completed exactly as planned. While walking through the newly landscaped area, he noticed that a pop-up drain installed years earlier by another contractor was improperly positioned and not functioning efficiently. Despite the rain, he rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and cleared the accumulated mud and debris from the pipe, restoring drainage until his crew could return to relocate the outlet and correct the problem permanently. That small act captured what sets Jeff apart. He noticed a problem that had nothing to do with his own work, took the time to address it himself, and made sure a lasting solution would follow. I recommend Baumley Nursery without reservation. It is an outstanding business, distinguished not only by the quality of its plants and landscape work, but by a level of professionalism and personal attention that is increasingly hard to find.

Baumley Nursery & Landscaping of Princeton are gems! They are one of my favorite places to get advice and healthy plants that thrive. Last year, they brought in the Chinese Malabar Spinach plant, which I had never encountered before, and it has become my favorite thing ever! It grows like crazy as a vine, and I literally ate salads from it weekly! I was so disappointed that the supplier wasn’t able to get the plant to them this year. It dies in the winter, but buying two of them led to the seeds dropping all around, and now I have eight saplings growing strong! Thank you all, you’re awesome, affordable, and always an amazing help.

I can't thank Jeff Baumley and his staff enough for the exceptional service I received - starting from when I contemplated planting a cherry blossom tree in the front of my house. From pre-purchase to the planting - and some after-care! - everything was handled professionally and expertly. Shortly after planting I had to be out-of-town and Jeff made certain to keep an eye on the tree (and if need be, watering) and kept me updated via txt that "the tree looks good" - for no extra charge, I have to add. Thank you, Jeff! .... and the tree is still looking great!

To say that I am thrilled with the outcome of my new hardscape/landscape design is an understatement! After 28 years of gardening my perennials, my arthritic hands and neck said 'enough'! Along with the very hungry deer who love to munch on my plants made gardening an increasing challenge for me. I went to see my high school friend Jeff and together we came up with a plan to redesign the space making it easy care. A red bud tree for the center, 3 types of deer/drought resistant plants, multicolored stones, a large boulder and fixing a broken rock border completed the look. Soaker hoses were installed to water the plants during their initial growing season to help them become established. And the price was right. Jeff has an encyclopedic mind for all things plants! He's very particularl about his work and takes great pride in all he does. He's a 'hands on' owner and one of the only owners here in our area who will take the time to look at your space and make suggestions. Brian, Marco and Marco were professional, neat and took the time to consult with me on the placement of the plants. The work was done in a timely manner.
