About the Nursery

Local Annual and Perennial Nursery. Top products: Annual bedding plants, Perennial plants. Alameda Greenhouse is a long-standing horticultural operation based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a history dating back to 1968. The business specializes in the local production of high-quality annuals and perennials, emphasizing a commitment to color, consistency, and plant health. Unlike businesses that primarily function as retail resellers, Alameda Greenhouse distinguishes itself by seeding and growing its own inventory directly on-site within its greenhouse facilities. This locally-grown approach ensures that their plant selections are acclimated to the regional environment, providing reliable botanical options for local homeowners, gardeners, and potentially professional landscapers. Their operation focuses on seasonal availability, particularly for the spring market, and they maintain a consistent operational model that prioritizes the production of ornamental varieties. The business serves the local community through direct retail interactions and community engagement, maintaining a reputation built on over five decades of horticultural expertise.

Alameda Greenhouse has a great selection of fruit and veggie plants every spring, plus plenty of annuals and perennials for both new and experienced gardeners.

Poor customer service. Don’t honor their plants and give every excuse possible. Instead of making it right they try and blame the soil. Will never shop there again. And definitely will discourage anyone from going there.

What a wonderful place. Prices were very fair and the staff was so helpful. It's very big but there are plenty of places to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere or chat with other shoppers. I am not sure what was more enjoyable sharing tips with other customers or wandering around. I will definitly drive the 189 miles there and place a big order for several trays of plants to resell on the other side of the state.im so glad I found this place for the plants I sell and the supplies to keep the gardens healthy. I was impressed by the dog friendly attitudes. They will definitly get my stores business.

My go to place for my green chile plants and vegetables. Buy a full tray and get a 4 pack free. They have a wide selection of green chiles and a lot of different habaneros, ghost and other hot varieties

Bought some lacewing larvae from Alameda Greenhouse that never hatched. Kept in touch via phone with the store and were told to bring them back if they didn’t hatch within 10 days. Brought them back to find out refunds are only 50%??? For defective products??? For the price of their products??? We will never purchase from Alameda Greenhouse again!
