Found the girl working the register the other day to be incredibly rude to the customers. I didn’t get her name but she had a goth/punk style. She was very condescending to a customer that was asking questions about plants. She should not be interacting with customers with such an attitude and calling questions “dumb.”

I went to Hewitts to get a 9’ Christmas tree today (I really wanted as close to 9’ to fill the room and not require additional cutting). My first frustration was that they couldn’t tell me how big the trees were, just a rough range. The kid helping me was friendly and showed me three or four trees, but without knowing how tall they were, I was reluctant. While the kid was helping me, I heard a manager near by talking to another customer (I think the managers name was Gary, but I’m not positive) he was being super loud and rude to an old lady. So much so that I was embarrassed for him, how is it ever ok to yell at a customer like that? Shame on you Gary! I probably would have overlooked that if I knew any tree I liked was 9’, but after their terrible measuring system and hearing a manger yell at an elderly customer like that I decided to take my business elsewhere. I probably won’t bother to go back for other things in the future.

9/29/2025. I received a great discount on the Arborvitae today marked down to $70 and when I went to the register it was marked down to $50! Thank you for bringing it to my car too.always, Nice helpful staff! & they have the live 🐞 too. Ty for your help today.

This year I purchased step one and step two of Hewitt’s crabgrass and weed control, so far the weed control was terrible. I have just as many weeds as I did last year. Follow up On the bag, it said May mid June, so I put it on a week ago and it hasn’t touched the weeds. It should be more clear. And when I called the store, they said I put it down too late so that’s a little confusing. UPDATE I did step one and step two from Hewitt‘s garden center step one was crabgrass step two as weed control. Followed the bag to the T. . Weed control did not work at all, so I called and stopped that they told me I didn’t do it at the right time according to the bag I did. The gentleman said I could put it on again had to be within a certain time which I did still a ton of weeds and a ton of crabgrass. Paid for one bag of crabgrass control and two bags of weed control and I wish I could post these pictures that I just took because my lawn is just loaded.
