Walked in looking to purchase lawn products and not one of 6 employees who I saw said hello, can I help you or even acknowledge my existence, including the guy standing in the doorway who I walked within 2-3 foot of. I seemed to be the only customer as well. I see why the low star rating here.

Very disappointed after realizing I was way over spending on plants that were apparently only looking like they were nice and healthy later learned that the plugs on all of their plants made it impossible for them to grow any bit more when they come home, not only that, but the alocasia Jacklyn and others I’ve purchased don’t stand much of a chance because of the plant plugs there’s no excuses anyone who knows plants or selling plants knows that they should not have a plant plug on them much less on alocasia smh 🤦‍♀️ if you look at the root system you will see not many roots and the sponge is suffocating or embedded into the little roots it had as is. All of mine from this store have to recover from the plugs .remove plugs or they will die or not grow and then die. hardly any roots left due to the plug slowly killing your plant. If you don’t remove the plug, the plant will ultimately die and they’re way overpriced here and not pest free. But the store is beautiful the plants are to but not worth it won’t be going back 😭all because nooo plant plugs on alocasias!!! 👎🚫🫥

I spent $200 on pots and a plant that died within two days. I bring the plant in and they refuse to refund or exchange, or even let me dump it there. The manager is horribly rude and demeaning to a public service member of law and mental health. . They will not help you if their plant is bad when they sell it, which should be against consumer protection laws. The employees are nice, however, the owner is very mean and vile. I will say I do love their plants and I’m not sure what happened here.

Plant your time and money elsewhere- Not Gray’s… Recapping my recent visits: • Staff vibes: Frosty. Dress accordingly. • Courtesy: Apparently a seasonal item. • Checkout wait- if issues: 35–45 minutes. Plenty of time to rethink life choices. • Gift certificate balance: Honored after whack down with weedy aggression. • Management tone: Condescending, like I’d just eaten a fern. • Overall trajectory, steadily composting with a side of manure… stagnant, rotting and losing whatever "freshness" or value they once had. Oh, the irony: “… What matters is what the customer thinks.” Said by the owner to a reporter not too long ago. Love that for us— because here’s what this customer thinks (40+ years in customer service): The public reviews aren’t “a few unhappy people,” they’re a pattern. The ex-employees are over by the potting bench, swapping cautionary tales like seed packets. And whatever made Gray’s a “happy place” on 6th Ave. seems to have been re-potted somewhere else. Mr. Bocci—didn’t you also say it “was a happy place” and you “didn’t want it to die of neglect”? Consider this a polite watering instruction: It’s wilting, and the tone is doing most of the damage. Toast. Won’t be back. No longer recommend. I’ll spend my money somewhere care and kindness is the default—not a special request.
