Herbeins used to be my favorite lawn and garden center in the Lehigh Valley, they used to have the most knowledge staff and great products. I would easily spend $2000/year there on plants, mulch, and seed. This place has gone completely downhill after new ownership. They should call themselves Lehigh Valley Lawn Center because it's no longer Herbein's. The level of service is not the same, the selection is worse, and their prices are way higher. It went from a 5 star shop to 1 star. I'd rather go to home depot.

Extremely disappointing experience. We have bought roses from this garden center for years and trusted them. I specifically asked at checkout about a guarantee for roses purchased previously and was clearly told there was a 3-month guarantee. Based on that information, I purchased several more roses. After getting home, one of the new roses turned out to have a completely dried-out root ball — bone dry. The plant declined rapidly and eventually dried up entirely despite immediate care and transplanting. When I returned with photos, suddenly I was told there is no guarantee on roses at all, and that I must have “misunderstood.” So which is it? Either employees are giving customers false information, or the business refuses to stand behind the quality of plants they sell. Selling severely dehydrated roses and then hiding behind policy technicalities is not good customer service. Very disappointing and unfortunately has destroyed the trust we had in this place.

Called around for the best mulch prices on a Wednesday. Decided to go with this company because the price was best. At some point between Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning their delivery charge doubled. Blamed it on gas prices and made no attempt to honor the original quoted charge. Not paying $60 to have delivered 2.7 miles away. They initially quoted $40 for delivery. Total waste of my time. It’s a real shame cause I’m a good loyal customer when treated right..
