I recently received a tree order from Musser mid April 2026. Tree roots on Norway Spruces were barely moist, but planted them anyways in hopes they would survive. They didnt. I called Musser and they said I should have notified them when I received the trees that roots were barely moist. They would not replace the trees or issue a refund. I have ordered from Musser many times over the last few years. I will never order from Musser again. Chief River Nursery will be my new go to. Let the buyer beware!!!

Purchased large order of trees, $300+, at that time the staff was nice. We drove 45” each way to pick them up. BUT, 90% of the trees died. Some in the 1st 90d, others between 4-9 mos.
Called to discuss & was told there is “nothing I can do” they died after their very limited warranty.
No offer to give a discount for us to try them again.
Buy your trees & plants at the big box stores or another local nursery. I have had very few plans die from Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Quality Gardens. When they have this soon, there’s been a warranty.
